Next Consulting Group., Inc is an IT outsourcing and Consulting company that is currently seeking for candidates with Junior level in Oracle Database Architecture
This is a contract to hire position with a large global telecommunication company in Miami. All qualified applicants must be available to interview in person in Miami and start with at most a two weeks notice. Applicants must be able to pass a background and reference check prior to being offered a position. No relocation assistance will be provided for this opportunity. Due to time constraints, only resumes matching the required skills, will be reviewed. A Valid working permit, green card or passport is required to start.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Professional interaction with internal/external customers (via phone, email or other messaging tools).
Maintain Oracle database infrastructure, test and promote changes for development, test and production environments.
Perform capacity planning and database performance tuning.
Ownership for creating, updating and closing customer requests and trouble tickets for client, engineering and vendor inquiries; resolve support issues where feasible and escalate when necessary.
Partner with engineering and external applications staff to develop and lead troubleshooting methods for all database technologies.
Follow all processes and procedures, while acting on behalf of customers and in the best interest of the company. Must be a self-motivator and fast learner.
Monitor environments and react to any and all significant alerts, incidents or outages within required time frames and/or contracted service levels.
Maintain database environments for multiple customers and internal systems.
Required for on-call duty or after hours support as needed by the company for emergency and non-emergency conditions when requested by management.
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS
Excellent client interaction and customer service skills.
2 to 5 year experience administering databases (Oracle and MS SQL Server),
2-5 years Oracle RAC experience a major plus.
Extensive, hands-on Oracle
EDUCATION
Bachelor Degree in IT or related field, technical institution training equivalent and/or 5 to 7 years work experience in a technical department (organization), providing technical support requiring daily or frequent interaction with internal and/or external users or customers. Certification in database administration is major plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish is also a plus.
